GENERAL GAME PLAY AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CARD KINGDOM
FIRST:
You will be given $100 to start the game with. This money
will be used by you to wager your way into a top position.
If you attain the Highest Postion and hold it until the
next month you will become the King Of The Card Kingdom.
The actual play of the game may resemble others that you
have played in the past. This should make it easier for
you to win cash and move up in the rankings. All the menus
are self explanitory and should be easy to figure out.
SECOND:
Although this sounds easy at first there are a few pitfalls
that may trip you up.
1st: Others may also be trying to become the ruling
champion.
2nd: As each player progresses daily he will have to
contend with Bandits who may steal a portion
of your total money. They will not take all of
it since they don't want you to quit getting
more money. If you quit then they won't get any
more cash from you, and they don't want that.
3rd: The Bandits will take from one player and give
the cash to whichever player hired them. If you
get a chance to hire a Bandit they will work for
you when others are playing. Each Bandit you hire
may only steal one time and then he retires. So
the more bandits you have the better your chances
are of getting someone elses cash. Be warned that
others may have the same idea that you do, and hire
their own bandits!!
4th: If the BBS you are playing this on supports Multiple
node operation you could be battling someone while
they are battling you. This may be a rare instance
but it can possibly happen!
GENERAL PLAY:
There are a few minor items that some of you may be concerned
with. One of the biggest is the Knights that you will see
popping up from time to time. These fellows will help to guard
your Kingdom while you are not playing. If one of your bandits
tries to take from another player and gets caught then that
player may or may not be able to attack you. They may also help
you while you are playing by allowing you to attack other players!
You can only do Battle with a lower player if you catch one of his
bandits trying to get into your treasury. Other than this you will
only be allowed to attack players who outrank you, after all who
would want to pick on the little guy?
The Cost of hiring Knights Varies with the amount of cash
that you have in your TREASURY. If you have no money in it you will
not be asked to hire Knights. The least amount you will pay for a
Knight is $5 and the most is determined by how good a player you are!
GAME HINTS:
This is placed here for those that took the time to
read this far.
1. The Ace is ALWAYS considered The highest card in the
game. Only the Bandit can cancel this ranking.
(After a Bandit strike you will still win or lose depending
on your previous choice of cards.)
2. Each full game consists of 25 cards.. There is only one
deck and each time a card is played the chances of getting
a bandit are increased. If you fail to complete a full game
your subjects may consider you a chicken and leave you. They
will also take some of your cash with them. After all, how
would you stop them.
3. Whenever you log into the game Bandit Cash will be added
to your score. You will not know where your bandit stole
the cash from.. It might even have been you.. Bandits do
that sometimes to get in better with possible rulers.
4. If a Bandit steals your money a Spy may offer to find out
who stole it. If you hire the Spy to find out for you he
just might ask you for a job as a Bandit himself! After
all good rulers spread money around and pay their employees
well or their employees just might steal from them.
5. Periodically a Gambler will try to bet against you. It is
totally up to you if you take his bet or not. If you beat
him you get some easy cash, but if you don't you lose the
cash. (Maybe the gambler is another player? You can never
tell in one of these games can you?)
6. Should you happen to bet ALL the money you are carrying and
lose it, any knights that you have will start worrying about
getting a paycheck from you. Be warned that these fellas
are real tempermental and should you mess up and fail to
pay them when they ask they will leave you.
